We are delighted to announce that after a unanimous vote by Westgate Town Council last night we will begin the removal of the derelict skatepark on Monday.
Building Phase 1 will begin on the 10th November and is expected to be completed in under 2 weeks. Phase 1 is a concrete mini ramp.
Phase 2 will begin in Spring and will be a street area. The council also approved the installation of a vert ramp to be funded and donated by @@tay_cunningham_ .
Phase 2 and Vert ramp will be completed in May 2026. We thank the Council for their support in this project so far in particular Cllr Clive Veck for heading up the group.
We also thank all the members of the local community and also skaters from further away who have donated funds, offered help or pledged materials and equipment.
